Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror. This is going to replace the side view mirror, and it is a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 1987 through 1994 Dodge Dakota. It is modeled after your Dakota's original look and fit. So you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement.

Should look like it came with your vehicle, right from the factory. And it's going to give you that nice, completed, integrated look. So you're not looking like you're piecing together parts from the junkyard or anything like that. It's going to look like it came right from the factory. It does have the manual mirror face adjustment capability, and this is an OE-grade product.

So it's going to have the same high quality materials as your original.The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome to give you a nice, clear image. And it is a flat lens, like most of your driver's side mirrors are. So it's going to give you a true representation of the object size behind you. It does have the breakaway design, so the mirror will fold if you we're to run into an obstacle so that it can absorb some of that impact and try and reduce the amount of damage to the mirror itself. Does have this durable plastic housing though.

So it shouldn't have to worry too much about damage, unless you're obviously having a hard impact on something like a parking pole or the side of your garage, something like that. So do be careful, but it shouldn't be any more fragile than your normal mirror that came with your vehicle. It does have this chrome finish on the back of our mirror.So it's going to have a nice look to be that integrated look, same as the other. As far as the installation, it's going to be extremely simple. It has the same footprint and mounting points as our factory mirror.

So basically all we're going to have to do is take that old mirror off and put this one in its place. And we're going to be ready to go, very simple. We're not going to have to drill or glue anything like that. It's all going to work with that same hardware. Now, for those of you who need a little bit more reassurance, that this is the mirror that you need, this is a exact replacement for the original equipment numbers that you see on the screen there. So I'm sure you're going through your owner's manual. You see either of those two numbers, this is the mirror that you need.This is just the driver's side mirror.
